We have entered the field of rehabilitation, and it has been an experience of our liking, since we have been able to put into practice the application of new systems and materials to give a constructive response to the pathologies that we have encountered. We find it an exciting discipline, that of rehabilitation, because all sorts of factors and structural, compositional and constructive problems influence, including the decision to use new materials with technical and ecological characteristics different from the usual ones, which undoubtedly improve the initial conditions. of facades, roofs, pavements …, to intervene.

We contemplate the possibility of entering the world of rehabilitation with various actions on facades, roofs and sanitation networks with new paving in community areas and housing blocks. We have solved facades with serious pathologies in their slab edges due to water leaks through the anchoring system of the old iron railings placed on the terraces or balconies of said homes. All the slab edges had to be sanitized with a new piece of flashing and the placement of new aluminum railings with a new fixing system. In other interventions, with forged edges covered with ceramic pieces, we have had to extract all the pieces due to their state of breakage, and apply a new construction solution, using materials such as monolayer. We have also intervened on roofs and roofs with problems of water leaks in the lower houses, due to a bad execution and forecast in its construction, of evacuation of stormwater flow. His solution, after carrying out a study and prior analysis of the slopes, was to extract all the pavement from the roof, to apply new slopes, with their continuous waterproof layer, and their relevant expansion joints to avoid possible cracks with changes in temperature, being a surface totally exposed to inclement weather. Another of our interventions was, after studying the sanitation and evacuation of rainwater and fecal water from a community compound on its ground floor, defining a new route and storage of both stormwater and fecal water, with a sequential arrangement of recordable manholes, along the entire evacuation route using linear terminals. To do this, we carried out a study of the unevenness of this route to achieve a continuous collection of water flow and connected to the public network. We designed a continuous screed defined by minimal slopes, to evacuate the water that was originally accumulated in puddles by an old system of drainage stones, which no longer functioned. The final flooring of said floor was treated with a non-slip ceramic flooring.
